Yi Chen is an associate professor in the School of Entrepreneurship and Management at ShanghaiTech University. He also serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Population Economics. He received his Ph.D. in economics from UCLA in 2015. His main research areas include labor economics, population economics, development economics, and applied microeconomics. His research topics cover human capital, family planning, gender difference, Chinese economy et al. He has published in leading economic journals such as American Economic Review, Journal of Development Economics, International Economic Review, Economic Development and Cultural Change, Journal of Comparative Economics.
