I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. My research areas include health economics, and international trade. In my research, I pose the question how to improve health and well-being of the most disadvantaged groups, including children, the elderly, women, and low-income households.

I obtained my Ph.D in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Virginia Tech, with a simultaneous Master's degree in Data Analysis and Applied Statistics.

Before coming to Virginia Tech, I worked as a Postgraduate Research Fellow for two years at Yale School of Public Health.
