Keith Bender is the SIRE Professor of Economics at the University of Aberdeen, holding previous positions at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the US Social Security Administration and Louisiana State University. He is an applied labour economist focusing on the relationship betweeen performance contracts and health, educational mismatch, subjective well-being and the effects of institutions on labour market outcomes. He is currently an Associate Editor at the British Journal of Industrial Relations.
