Dr. Kushneel Prakash is a Melbourne Postdoctoral Fellow at the Melbourne Institute: Applied Economic and Social Research at the University of Melbourne.

He obtained his PhD in Economics from Monash University.

His research interests are in the areas of applied economics with particular focus to economics of happiness, health economics and energy economics using survey data. In his research, he examines how individuals; households and environmental factors influence personal wellbeing. His research is published in leading economics journal including Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization (JEBO), Health Economics, Energy Economics and Economic Modelling.
