Majlinda is currently working as Economist for the National Institute of Statistics Luxembourg (STATEC), where she is coordinating the TrustLab project of OECD for evaluating the role of trust in Institutions and science through new experimental methodologies.
She is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Luxembourg, where she is teaching International Economics. She worked for 2 years with Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) and was trained at J-PAL (MIT) laboratory for running Randomized Control Trials (RCT) in developing countries.
Majlinda is also acting as a CO-Investigator for an on-going research project in Albania about migration decisions, project that is founded by the National Research Funds of Luxembourg.
Majlinda has also particular interest in investigating gender disparities and improving the role of women in the labor market in particular for developing countries. Her research is published in international journals, like Journal of Economic Behaviour and Organization, Review of Economics of the Household, IZA Journal of Migration among others.
Majlinda got her PhD in International Economics from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
