I hold a Phd in Development Economics at the University of Florence, and I am currently an Associate Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Torino, an Associate Research Fellow in Globalisation and Development at the Institute of Development Policy, University of Antwerp, a Programme Associate and Visiting Researcher with the Global Governance Programme at the European University Institute, and an Associate Fellow at the Italian Institute of International Affairs (IAI).
I regularly consult with national and international organisations, including so far UNICEF, UNIDO, UNU-Wider, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the IMF.
My main research interests are in the fields of development economics, international business/economics with a geographic focus on sub-Saharan Africa and East Asia.
