Narbadeshwar Mishra is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Banking and Finance, and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Haryana Studies, O.P. Jindal Global University, India. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from IFMR GSB, Krea University. His research interests lie in Applied Microeconomics, with a focus on Development, Labor, Gender, and Public Policy. His work examines how public policies and institutional reforms—such as gender-specific laws—shape women’s empowerment, labor market participation, and household welfare. He employs large-scale microdata and econometric methods to study how public interventions influence social and economic outcomes. His broader research agenda seeks to generate evidence that informs inclusive and policy-relevant development. He is a GLO Virtual Young Scholar in the 2025–26 cohort and currently serves as a GLO Affiliate.
