I joined the ILO in 2008 and today I'm acting Chief of the Labour Market Trends and Policy Evaluation Unit of the Research Department. Prior to this, she worked at the International Organization for Migration in Geneva and at the Macroeconomic and Financial Consulting firm Multienlace in her home country Ecuador.

Over the past 10 years, I have worked in a variety of economic and labor market subjects such as the effects of the crisis on the labor market, the drivers of youth labor markets, the effect of fiscal consolidation on employment, etc. More recently, my research has focused on assessing the effectiveness of labor market policies on job quality and social conditions and unveiling whether leveraging complementarities between policies can foster their beneficial effect.

I have a MSc. in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador and a MSc. in International Economics from the University Pierre-Mendès France in Grenoble – France. Currently I am a Ph.D. candidate at Paris School of Economics where I'm carrying out research on the effectiveness of labor market policies.
