I am an Associate Professor of Economics and Director of Graduate Studies at the Lahore School of Economics, where I lead MS, MPhil, and PhD programs and mentor the next generation of researchers. I also serve as a Senior Research Fellow at CREB, a Research Fellow at CERP, and a Fellow of the Global Labor Organization.

My work focuses on the economics of innovation, growth, and political economy, with a strong interest in how institutions, technology, and firm behavior shape development outcomes. I combine theoretical models with empirical evidence, including large surveys and randomized controlled trials, to generate insights that are both academically rigorous and policy relevant.

Over the years, I’ve advised the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, engaged with industry leaders and policymakers, and contributed to national strategies on industry and education. My teaching spans Economic Growth, Macroeconomics, and Development Economics, and I have extensive experience in supervising graduate research.
