I am a fourth-year Doctoral student at Economics and Social Sciences Dept, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. My research interests include international trade in services, labour mobility, trade & labour regulations, development economics in the areas of health & education. In one of the papers of my PhD thesis, I study the role of Bilateral Trade Agreements in facilitating international trade in services and mobility of labour, using several econometric models. The results show that trade agreements do increase labour mobility. Another paper focuses on health and highlights the need for efficient management of health worker mobility, especially in case of India, which is a major source country but is below the world threshold of health worker density. My previous work also includes studies on quality of higher education and effect of education-occupation mismatch on wages in India. Prior to joining IIM Bangalore, I have worked on model risk management in Deloitte, after completing MA in Applied Economics from Centre for Development Studies (JNU).
