I am a research associate at the University of Hamburg jointly with the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning. My current work under the Hamburg Numeracy Project includes analyzing large-scale skills assessments such as the PIAAC administered by the OECD, STEP by the World Bank to understand the relationships between skills, formal schooling, job market structure, and the evolution of skills in high and middle income countries. The work also involves developing new assessment tools for low income countries. My research interests are in the area of economics of education.
