Dr. Lars Handrich is founder and managing director of DIW Econ - the consulting firm of DIW Berlin. DIW Berlin is Germanys largest economic research institute. Lars cares about open borders, climate change, economic reforms and evidence-based policy making. He has more than twenty years of experience working as an international economics consultant, advising firms, governments, international organisations, associations and research institutions. Lars has a rich experience in implementing large and complex projects in ASEAN, Central Asia, Europe, the Near East and the Gulf region, and in Southern Africa. Lars studied Social Sciences at Humboldt University Berlin, Duke University, the London School of Economics and Oslo University. He received his Ph.D. from Humboldt University Berlin.
