Magnus Lodefalk is an associate professor and senior lecturer in economics at Örebro University. He is also affiliated to the Ratio research institute. Lodefalk co-directs the transcontinental research and educational network Trade and Investment in Services Associates (TIISA). He has initiated and co-leads an international and multidisciplinary environment for the study of AI and jobs -- the AI-Econ Lab (www.ai-econlab.com). He currently also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the Swedish Economic Assocation.
His research is about what drives and hinders the growth of companies and the effects of such factors on jobs, wages and economic growth. He studies the economic impact of a number of factors, ranging from technology, such as artificial intelligence, and public policies, for example, on foreign trade, to the impact of migrant workers, as well as of the servicification of companies.
