I am Senior Researcher at National Institute for Public Policies Analysis (INAPP) – and Lecturer at the John Cabot University, Rome.


Italian National Scientific Qualification for the role of Associate Professor in Economic Policy.

Lead of the “Italian” group of research and of the “Coronavirus” thematic group of GLO.

I was Visiting Lecturer for Quantitative Techniques for Finance and Quantitative Methods for Finance at the Queen Mary University of London – School of Economics and Finance.


I was Adjunct Professor of:


- Economics and Macroeconomics at the Faculty of Economics of the University “La Sapienza”of Rome.

- Italian Economics and Economic Policy for the Development at the Faculty of Economics of the Calabria University.

I served as senior economist at the Italian Ministry of Economics and Finance, Department of the Treasury, Directorate I “Economic and Financial Analysis”: I was involved into the analysis of labour market in the context of the Italian and international economy, and their surveys, including the relationships with the EU, the OECD and the IMF.


I served as Economist at the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion (previously Department for Development and Cohesion Policies), where I currently managed negotiated and Institutional relationships with European Commission. I was involved as Italian national expert in several European Twinning projects funded by EC with Romania (2006), Bulgaria (2007-09), Turkey (2008) and Croatia (2012).


I hold a Ph. D. in Economics from the University “La Sapienza”of Rome, where I also was Research fellow in Economic Policy at the Department of public Economics. I also was post-graduate visiting at the Department of Economics of the Essex University (UK).


Fields of interest: Applied Econometrics (esp. Semi-parametric and Non-parametric models, Counterfactual Decomposition Methods), Labour Economics, Sustainable Growth, National and International Income Distribution, Regional and Cohesion Policies, Gender Economics, Human Capital and Technology, Policy Evaluation, Future of Work, Returns of Education


Occasional research activity: London School of Economics, Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), European Investment Bank (EIB), European Commission (EC).


I have published several scientific papers, both theoretical and empirical, in international peer-reviewed journals like: Applied Economics, Acta Oeconomica, Applied Economics Letters (2), British Journal of Industrial Relations, Economia Politica, Economic Modelling, Economics Bulletin (4), Empirica, Eurasian Business Review, European Research Studies Journal, International Journal of Manpower, Journal of Population Economics (2), Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, Telecommunications Policy, Work Employment and Society.
