H. Xavier Jara currently works as Research Fellow at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) , University of Essex. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Leuven, Belgium. His research interests include labour and public economics, distributional analysis and the role of tax-benefit systems, and well-being measurement.
