Kompal Sinha is a Professor of Economics at Macquarie University with expertise in health economics, development economics, and applied econometrics. With over a decade of experience, she has led interdisciplinary projects, securing over AUD 3.6 million in funding from bodies like the Australian Research Council. Her research uses causal inference, machine learning, and policy evaluation to address health equity and socioeconomic disparities. As Editor of the Journal of Population Economics (JOPE) (Springer) and a founding member of the Australian Development Economics Association, she has published widely in top journals, contributing to global health policy insights.

Her passion for advancing health equity through data-driven research and mentorship is evident in her work with PhD and Master’s students.
