I am a Professor of Economics and Finance at the University of New South Wales Canberra - a UNSW faculty with schools in science and engineering and a small business school. Currently, also a visiting fellow of Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. Previously, I worked at the Institute for Labor Economics (Bonn), in the Department of Economics of Macquarie University (Sydney), and, way before that, in banking in London. I am a Research Fellow of the Global Labor Organisation (GLO) and the Institute of Labor Economics - IZA. I am an Associate Editor of the Journal of Population Economics, and an Associate Editor of Social Indicators Research. I obtained my PhD in Economics from the Australian National University.
