Springer Nature as the publisher and the entire JOPE editorial team are delighted to welcome the colleagues in their new roles and look forward to a dynamic, productive, and inspiring collaboration that will further elevate the exceptional service the journal provides to its users.

JOPE expects to receive over 1,500 submissions in 2026, and has just started to invite contributions to two new Collections:
- Perspectives of Population Economics
This Collection features peer-reviewed research articles in a perspective and agenda-setting style that advance debates in population economics through synthesis, forward-looking argumentation, and policy relevance, while meeting the same empirical or theoretical standards as regular submissions. - Restricting Migration
Restricting migration, including immigration, emigration, and remigration, has become a policy objective in many countries worldwide. Does it work, and what are its economic and social consequences?
Interested to interact with the JOPE editorial team? Contribute or just participate at the Global GLO-JOPE Bonn Conference 2026, Nov 30 to Dec 4, either in-person or online on these or related population economics topics broadly defined. For further details see CONFERENCE CALL.
